Best Amazon Policy-Monitoring Tools (2026)

Search for "Amazon policy-monitoring tools" and you get a list of products that mostly do not monitor policy. They monitor your listings, or they monitor your account health. Those are useful, but they are not the same thing. This is an honest 2026 rundown of what each well-known tool actually does, what it costs, and where the genuine gap is.

SellerSafe is an independent product and is not affiliated with Helium 10, Jungle Scout, eComEngine, SentryKit, SellerSonar, Riverbend Consulting, or Amazon. All product names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Feature descriptions and pricing reflect published information as of June 2026 and may change.

First, Define "Policy Monitoring" Narrowly

The phrase gets used loosely. There are three distinct things marketed as "monitoring," and conflating them is how sellers buy the wrong tool.

Most "Amazon seller tools" are research/growth suites or listing monitors. A smaller group does genuine account-health work. Almost none watch the policy pages for changes. Keep those three buckets in mind below.

The Honest Rundown

Helium 10 — listing monitor inside a growth suite

Helium 10 is an all-in-one seller suite for Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok Shop. Per its homepage it serves more than 4.5 million users across 24+ marketplaces and tracks over $7 billion in monthly Amazon GMV, bundling 30+ tools (Black Box and Cerebro for research, Adtomic for PPC, Profits for financials, and an Alerts module). Its real strength is product/keyword research, listing optimization, and ad management.

Its Alerts tool gives 24/7 surveillance of your own listings: hijackers and unauthorized sellers, title changes, price changes, Buy Box won or lost, seller-count and dimension changes, new reviews, and category re-placement (for example a product moved into a restricted category), with periodic screenshots. What it does not do is monitor Amazon's policy or Terms-of-Service pages, and there is no dedicated account-health dashboard mirroring Amazon's own metrics. Pricing per the official page (June 2026): a limited Free plan, Platinum $129/month ($99 annually), Diamond $359/month ($279 annually), and Enterprise from $1,499/month annually. We go deeper in SellerSafe vs Helium 10.

Jungle Scout — Amazon research suite with listing alerts

Jungle Scout (SMB product branded Catalyst, enterprise tier Cobalt) is squarely a product-research and growth-analytics suite for Amazon, strong at product database research, opportunity finding, rank tracking, and sales estimation. Its Alerts tool watches individual listings for price changes, new sellers added to a listing, new reviews, rating changes, and sales snapshots, then emails you. The enterprise Cobalt tier adds a compliance dashboard, but it tracks authorized-versus-unauthorized sellers, distribution control, revenue at risk, and Buy Box impact, which is brand and channel protection, not policy-page tracking. Its blog advises sellers to keep up with policy changes, but the software does not do it for you.

It is Amazon-only (no Walmart, eBay, or Shopify). Catalyst pricing per the official plans page (June 2026), billed annually (month-to-month is higher, around $49 / $79 / $149): Starter $29/month, Growth Accelerator $49/month, Brand Owner + CI $129/month, with extra seats around $49/month. Enterprise Cobalt is custom-quoted.

Amazon Account Health Dashboard / AHR — the free native baseline

This is Amazon's own built-in tool inside Seller Central (Performance > Account Health), rolled out across worldwide stores by 2023. It surfaces the Account Health Rating, a compliance score on a 0 to 1,000 scale, with bands of Healthy (200+), At Risk (100–199), and Unhealthy (0–99); new accounts start at 200. It is the genuine account-health article: three monitored pillars (customer-service, shipping, and policy compliance), an open-violations list with per-violation severity, near-real-time score updates, in-dashboard alerts, and access to Account Health Specialists. An optional Account Health Assurance program gives eligible Professional sellers 72-hour advance contact before deactivation. Multiple 2026 sources report Q1-2026 enforcement tightening that weights unresolved warnings and repeat violations more heavily.

What it does not do is watch Amazon's policy or Terms-of-Service pages for edits. It flags violations you have actually incurred and deducts points; it does not crawl or diff the policy documents themselves. It is free (a standard part of a Seller Central account; the Professional plan itself is about $39.99/month) and Amazon-only. Every seller should use it. It is the floor, not the ceiling.

eComEngine SellerPulse — operational analytics plus listing health

SellerPulse comes from eComEngine (the company behind FeedbackFive and RestockPro), positioned as operational analytics and alerts for Amazon sellers. It monitors your own listings 24/7 (brand name, title, bullets, image, and status such as active, inactive, deleted, or search-suppressed, plus an "adult" flag and FBA out-of-stock), with a 30-day per-listing change log, plus Buy Box monitoring and a solid set of FBA analytics (sales, average selling price, fees, ad spend, TACoS, net proceeds, return rate, SKU economics, inventory planning).

It markets "ASIN Health Monitoring," but that is listing-level health (suppressions, status changes, hijackers), not Seller Central metrics like ODR or AHR, and it does not monitor policy pages. It is Amazon-only (eComEngine cites 17 Amazon marketplaces for FeedbackFive and SellerPulse jointly). Pricing starts at $89/month, scaling with monthly order volume, with a free trial and an optional review-monitoring add-on around $10/month.

SentryKit — fast Buy Box and listing monitor

SentryKit is a seller-intelligence platform focused on Buy Box and listing-level monitoring. It uses a push (event-driven) architecture: per its current site (sentrykit.com/alerts/), Tier-1 critical alerts fire within roughly 90 seconds of the event via Amazon SQS push notifications, rather than on a fixed polling interval. It covers 20+ alert types: Buy Box lost/won/suppressed, hijacker detection with competitor profiling, price-floor and margin breaches, listing and search suppression, badge changes, content changes, inventory, and sales-velocity spikes, delivered via email, dashboard, Slack, Google Sheets, and Zapier (SMS via Zapier).

It does not monitor policy or Terms-of-Service pages. Its closest compliance-adjacent alerts (listing suppression, search suppression, listing suspension) fire after Amazon acts on a listing, and it does not ingest your AHR score. It is Amazon-only across 20+ marketplaces. Per the live pricing page (June 2026): Starter $19/month ($15 annual) up to 2,000 orders, Pro $49/month ($39 annual) up to 10,000 orders, with a 30-day free trial.

SellerSonar — listing and retail-intelligence alerts

SellerSonar tracks your own and competitor ASINs and sends real-time alerts for suppressions and out-of-stock ("retail issues"), content edits, Buy Box and hijacker changes, pricing, Best Seller Rank shifts, reviews and ratings, keyword rank, and badges, via email or Slack with CSV/XLSX reports. It also offers an AI listing-quality score, an FBA calculator, and API access on higher tiers.

It does not monitor policy or Terms-of-Service pages, and has no dedicated AHR or compliance-violation dashboard; its compliance-adjacent value is reactive listing alerts. It is Amazon-only across 23 marketplaces. Annual-billing pricing (official plans-comparison page and a third-party review updated January 2026): Pro $19.98/month, Premium $39.98/month, Business $74.98/month, Enterprise custom, with add-ons for multiple accounts and listing-quality/review tracking.

Riverbend Consulting — human account-health service

Riverbend is a service, not software: an Amazon-seller consultancy with 75+ experts (including former Amazonians from Seller Performance and Account Health) handling account and ASIN reinstatement, Brand Registry and KDP disputes, FBA reimbursement recovery, and ongoing account protection. Its Guardian / Seller Account Protection offering provides daily human review of your own account: performance notifications, AHR changes, scorecard violations, ASIN errors, and risk signals, plus unlimited case handling and a dedicated Risk Advisor. This is genuine account-health monitoring, delivered by people rather than a dashboard. It does not watch Amazon's policy or Terms-of-Service pages for changes. Guardian is Amazon-only (its FAQ states it currently covers Amazon accounts only) and starts at $17/day; other services are quote-based.

SellerSafe — the dedicated cross-marketplace policy-change tracker

This is the gap nothing above fills. SellerSafe is built to do the third thing in our definition: monitor the official policy and Terms-of-Service pages of major marketplaces and tell you when the rules change, before enforcement reaches your account. It tracks policy pages across Amazon, TikTok Shop, Walmart, Etsy, and Shopify, rates each change by severity (Low, Medium, High, Critical), and delivers a plain-English weekly digest with a link to the source.

SellerSafe is not a listing monitor and not an account-health dashboard. It does not watch your ASINs, your Buy Box, or your ODR. It watches the policy layer, which is upstream of every alert the other tools send. It complements them rather than replacing them. For more on the category itself, see our full comparison of marketplace policy trackers for 2026.

How to Choose

No single tool covers all three layers, so the right answer is usually a small, deliberate stack.

The principle: the further upstream a tool sits, the earlier your warning. Listing monitors and the AHR dashboard tell you after something happens; a policy-change tracker tells you when the rule that will cause it has changed.

FAQ

What is the difference between policy-change monitoring and account-health monitoring?

Account-health monitoring watches your own account against the rules that already exist: your Order Defect Rate, late-shipment rate, open policy violations, and your Account Health Rating. Amazon's Account Health Dashboard does this natively and for free. Policy-change monitoring is different: it watches the marketplace's published policy and Terms-of-Service pages themselves and tells you when the rules change, before any violation is recorded against you. Most Amazon tools do one of the first two things. Very few watch the policy pages.

Do Helium 10 or Jungle Scout monitor Amazon policy changes?

No. Both have an Alerts feature, but per their official pages those alerts watch your own listings and ASINs only: hijackers and unauthorized sellers, title and image changes, price shifts, Buy Box wins and losses, reviews, and category re-placement. Neither crawls Amazon's policy or Terms-of-Service pages for changes. Jungle Scout's enterprise Cobalt tier adds a compliance dashboard, but it covers authorized-versus-unauthorized seller and distribution control, not policy-page changes.

Is Amazon's own Account Health Dashboard enough?

It is essential and it is free, so every seller should use it. It gives you the Account Health Rating on a 0 to 1,000 scale, the three monitored pillars (customer service, shipping, policy compliance), an open-violations list, and access to Account Health Specialists. But by design it shows you violations after they are recorded against your account. It does not tell you when Amazon edits a policy page, so it cannot give you advance notice before a new rule starts being enforced.

Which tool gives the earliest warning before a violation happens?

A dedicated policy-change tracker gives the earliest signal, because it watches the rule itself rather than the consequence. Amazon's Account Health Dashboard and listing monitors like SentryKit or SellerSonar react after an action has hit your account or listing. Riverbend's Guardian service adds human daily review of your account health. SellerSafe sits upstream of all of them by tracking the policy pages directly.

Do I need more than one of these tools?

Most established sellers end up with a small stack. The free Amazon Account Health Dashboard for your own metrics, a listing monitor (Helium 10, Jungle Scout, SellerPulse, SentryKit, or SellerSonar) for threats to your ASINs, and a policy-change tracker for advance notice when the rules shift. They watch different layers and do not replace one another.

The Bottom Line

Every tool here is good at what it was built for. Helium 10 and Jungle Scout are excellent growth and research suites with listing alerts attached. SellerPulse, SentryKit, and SellerSonar are capable listing and operational monitors. Amazon's Account Health Dashboard is the free, authoritative source for your own compliance metrics. Riverbend brings real human expertise to account protection.

What almost none of them do is watch the marketplace's policy pages for changes, the one layer that gives you warning before a rule becomes an enforcement problem. SellerSafe was built for that layer specifically, across five marketplaces rather than just Amazon. If you add one thing this year, pair the free Account Health Dashboard with the free SellerSafe digest: you have both your account metrics and the rules that govern them covered. For a timeline of how fast Amazon's rules move, see Amazon seller policy updates in 2026.
